Hola chicas! So, a girlfriend of mine calls me today complaining about her new found dark under-eye circles and fine lines, and wanted my suggestion for the best illuminator to mask her problem. Instantly my first suggestion was Smashbox’s Aritficial Light Luminizing Lotion. Now, I realize that this product has been out there a really long time and there are many others out there that could do the job as well. But what I love about the Smashbox in particular is it’s consistency. Housed in a pump, this oil-free illuminator is fluid enough to blend seamlessly with your foundation or concealer, yet still provides just the right amount of coverage and pearl effect to get the job done. I love to use it on ALL skin-tones, because the color is so forgiving. The other plus is that it contains Japanese green tea, so it’s also a great anti-oxidant. My girlfriend has yet to try the product, but I’m sure she will not be disappointed! *smooches*

Hey Girls!Happy Friday!!! Phew, I’m soooo excited it’s the weekend! So, I know this isn’t the newest product out there, but I have to say I love it so much that even after a year on the market it’s still one of my fave lipsticks. MAC’s Slimshine Lipstick is essentially a lipgloss in a stick form. It provides the the sheer coverage, creamy cushion, and shine of a lipgloss but without the stickiness. Not only that, but because it’s in a stick form it’s less messy than a traditional gloss in a tube. Don’t get me wrong, I love my tube glosses, too. But this has been the best alternate for when I want to switch it up. It has such a creamy, bouncy texture that I find myself continuously applying it. It kinda reminds me of when I was a kid and would continuously apply my Wet n’ Wild or Smackers lip balm, because of the scent/flavor and that similar feeling on the lips.Any-hoo, highly recommend it….especially for the season since it’s also available in bright, sheer shades. *xoxo*

Hola! Make-up Forever just launched their High Definition Microfinish Powder, exclusively at Sephora. Like many other loose powders, High Def Microfinish is positioned as a loose powder that can either be used to set foundation or to be worn alone for a mattifying effect. The product is talc-free, so it provides a transparent finish on the skin. Making it a great product for a broad range of skin-tones. This product was also designed with Makeup Artists in mind….of course! It provides a soft focus effect for HD cameras and helps to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Can’t wait to try this product! They got me at talc-free and transparent color!! *kisses*

Hey girls, This September Gwen Stefani is launching 5 new fragrances, inspired by her Harajuku girls/back-up singers- Love, Angel, Music, Baby and “G”, which of course stands for Gwen. The fragrance will be housed in a bottle which will sit on a glass base and be covered with a removable doll, custom designed to look exactly like each Harajuku Girl. The fragrances’ scents were developed to reflect each girls personality and style. These bottles look so cute!! I’m really excited about this one! I can’t wait to smell the fragrances and purchase the whole set to add to my fragrance collection! *xoxo* Update courtesy of WWD.

Diddy is not the only mogul that’s growing his fragrance collection…Ms. Kimora is doing it for the ladies with her latest addition…FABULOSITY. The new fragrance is packaged in a diamond shaped bottle (what else??), inspired by the former model’s love of faux, oversized diamonds. Like the rest of the Baby Phat brand, Fabulosity represents urban fashion with glitz. The scent is a fruity oriental, made with notes of juicy plum, orange blossom, Chinese Osmanthus, coconut milk (which seems to be a popular scent this season), and purple violet. Fabulosity will be available this month in department stores.I personally wasn’t a fan of the previous two fragrances (Goddess, and Golden Goddess), but I never knock anything till I try it. I’d love to hear what you think of it… ghetto fabulous or hot ghetto mess? *kisses*

Hey ladies,
So, Diddy has done it yet again with the launch of his latest fragrance- Unforgivable Black. Slated to launch this month, there will be a men’s and a women’s version of this collector’s edition fragrance. Black is positioned as a rich, opulent, more seductive sister to the original Unforgivable scent. The men’s version is described as a “seductive wood”, which includes hints of lemon, bergamont, tangerine, grapefruit, and champagne accord of course. The women’s is more of a gourmand (edible) scent, with hints of pina colada, jasmine, ylang-ylang, coconut milk, pineapple, and a long list of other delicious smells. Both fragrances are housed in a rich, SHINY, black bottle, that’s in the identical shape of the first one. The women’s bottle also features a black crystal necklace. Tres Chic! Can’t wait to try it!
What do you think of Diddy’s new fragrance? Bitchassness or Hotness?

Givenchy’s spring make-up collection is out on counters, and I have to say it’s really cute! I’ve always thought that Givenchy had an older, more mature feel to it, but they seem to have modernized their make-up selection a lot over the last couple of years.Housed in metallic blue, denim inspired packaging, this year’s palette is truly representative of denim and women’s jean fetish. The combinations are a mix of blues accented by splashes of vivid colors such as yellows and pinks, and glitters, which symbolize the marks and memories that each women’s favorite pair of denim carry. Cute idea, right? The colors are beautiful, but unfortunately one problem I consistently find with Givenchy’s shadow is that they’re pressed so hard. When I go to apply the shadow I get no product pick-up on my brush. Just a build-up of an oily residue on the top layer of the product. Ewww! However, I do like their new limited edition Purple Black mascara, which is a great departure from all the blue mascaras of past seasons and collections.
Hey girls!Long time no speak! Sorry I’ve been M.I.A, but I’ve just come back from a long trip to Florida. Weather wasn’t as hot as I’d hoped it would be, but I did get a chance to do some serious damage at the fabulous International Plaza Mall in Tampa Florida. One of my great buys–Escada’s annual limited edition spring fragrance. This year’s scent is called MOON SPARKLE, which is inspired by their new 2008 spring fashion collection. For $55 bucks not only did I get a great fruity fragrance, but I also got a copy of Rihanna’s “Good Girl Gone Bad” CD and and an umbrella (go figure!). I’ve actually been curious to hear her album since she’s released a couple of decent songs over the past year, but I hadn’t taken the time to purchase it. So, this was definitely an added perk! It also feels good to know that some of the money is used for a good cause–the collaboration is apparently in an effort to bring awareness to Rihanna’s BELIEVE FOUNDATION (a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting and inspiring children).
Any-hoo, the fragrance smells fabulous of course…just like Escada’s past spring scents. I love it’s strawberry and apple notes, which make it the perfect scent to take on a caribbean getaway.
Missed y’all!
*xoxo*
P.S. Some other new fragrance finds–Michael Kors Island Capri and Mariah Carey’s M Gold. Both smell decent, but neither wowed me enough to drop money on them. Especially MC’s, which sells for a hefty $70 bucks! Not worth it in my opinion.
