Hola!
Nars continues to expand their Neu Neons collection with the addition of bright eye shadow duos. Neons are hot this season, not only in fashion but in cosmetics as well. The best and easiest way to wear neons on the eyes….pair it with a neutral, toned down shade. If you still find that that’s too hard to pull off, then try wearing it as an eyeliner. Start by using an angled brush, wet it a with a little water, dab brush in the neon shade of your choice and glide brush on an angle, along your upper lash line. For a funky look, glide the brush along the lower lash line.

Hey Ladies, I’m currently very obsessed with nail polish and the rainbow of shades that are available out there. I’ve recently discovered a new brand called Color Club. I’m not really sure that this brand is new to the market, but it’s new to me because I’ve never heard of it:) I went to the beauty supply store the other day to pick-up a few hair products and when I got to the register to pay for my goods, I came across Color Club’s wide array of nail enamel shades. Amongst the shades that caught my eyes was one particular blue shade called Blue Light. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a pic of this shade to post:( But I can describe it as a the perfect cotton candy blue….my favorite flavor;-) The formula provides a nice, even, full coverage with 2 coats, and wears pretty well…at least 2-3 days before I noticed the first signs of chipping. The pink in this pic isn’t bad either. Color Club has a total of 156 nail color shades to choose from! *kisses*

Givenchy has launched a limited edition, summer version of their famous Very Irresistible fragrance: Summer Cocktail. The scent is supposed to be a lighter, fresh smelling version of the classic. This new summer scent is composed with notes of Anise, Mint Leaves, Verbena Leaf, and a variety of roses. It’s also available in a men’s version: Men’s Summer Cocktail.

Tweezerman is known for their wide assortment of facial and brow tweezers, and my favorite one, which was given to me by a fellow-make-up artist, is the Point Tweezer. Now, I know that the Point looks a little intimidating at first…that’s a pretty scary tip, but let me tell you that that the extra-sharp, perfectly aligned tip can grab and pluck every bit of tiny hair that a normal tweezer can’t. The Point Tweezer is a staple in my kit and has come in handy at practically every job that I’ve done. Whether I use it to pluck brows or any unwanted facial hair, this tweezer is guaranteed to grab the impossible of hairs. The Point Tweezer is the best for plucking ingrown hair, too. Just remember–always tweeze in the direction of hair growth, always sanitize/clean tweezers before and after each use, and always replace the protective cap on tweezer tips! The Point Tweezer is available in assortment of colors, too. Of course I gotta go for the bright shade–orange:)

Hola Chicas!Vincent Longo has just launched a new lip product called Gelli Gloss. Available in 2 vibrant shades, the transparent, jelly-like formula is packaged in a pot container. Though product leaves a shiny and sheer color on the lips, the lightweight formula also leaves behind somewhat of a greasy feel. The concept of gelli like gloss is cool, however this products greasy texture is a turn-off.*smooches*

Hey girls,
Laura Mercier has taken the best of both eye shadow forms, cream and loose powder, and combined them in one portable pack. Housed in a double-decker style component, the formulas are designed to be worn alone or together. The cream doubles as a wear extending base for all over the lid, or can be worn alone as an eye shadow. They’re available in 3 universal shade combinations.

Nail enamel keeps getting brighter and brighter by the day. Seems like just yesterday I was writing about shades of blacks and whites. Well, with the heat comes a range of bright nail enamel to spice up the summer. My favorite bright of the moment…NEON ORANGE. Sounds silly, but don’t knock it till you try it. And if bold finger nails isn’t your thing then try applying this shade on the toes for a funky summer pedicure. It’s the perfect compliment to this season’s hot gold gladiator sandals! My fave neon orange nail color comes from indie brand, Lori Anne. For those who want an even bolder look, try Lori Anne’s nail color in Green, which is also fantabulous. Added bonus…they only cost $1.99 each!
Hey ladies,
This isn’t the newest product on the block, but it’s one of my favorites! So, as some of you may know I got back from Mexico a little over a week ago, and my tan, or should I say my blackness:), is fading fast:( It’s always so sad when that starts to happen. It’s almost like your vacation bliss washes away with it. The same thing happened to me last summer after my trip to Jamaica. Luckily I discovered a wonderful bronzing product by Sue Devitt called Liquid Gold Coast: Bronzing Glow for face and body. I absolutely L-O-V-E this stuff! I’m not one to put a lot of bronzing lotions and things on my face because my skin is naturally so oily, but this is one that I swear by! This fluid formula is super light and blends seamlessly on the skin. You just add a drop or two (depending on how tan you want to look) to your moisturizer and mix the two together before distributing it evenly onto the face. It has a low level shimmer that’s just perfect to achieve that fresh, sun-kissed look.
