Hey ladies, Chanel has finally got a new lipgloss formula out! Aqualumiere Gloss High Shine Sheer Concentrate (that’s a mouthfull!!), is a traditional lipgloss formula housed in a vial with a brush applicator. What I love about this product versus their Glossimer is that you get a lot more product deposit on the lips and it’s not sticky! Glossimer on the other hand, you’ve gotta dip the applicator like a hundred times before you get a good enough amount of product on the lips and I find the formula sticky. The Aqualumiere texture is super creamy, yet it left a super shiny wash of color on my lips, and the shade range is gorgeous! I likey:)*smooches*

I’m a huge fan of Giorgio Armani’s foundations, skin illuminators and highlighters. So I was really excited to find out that he just launched a new foundation primer called Face Fabric. I received a sample of it today in the mail and I have to say that I have mixed feelings about it. Overall it’s a great concept–fabric-like texture that provides a translucent color, which can be worn alone or under any foundation for a natural glow. It has a very lightweight, mousse like texture (think Maybelline’s Dream Matte Mousse formula). However, I found it blended unevenly onto the skin and didn’t give the smooth finish that I expected it to. The product comes in 3 shades- porcelain, apricot, and soft rose. I think I’ll put it in my kit and give it another try. I’ll let you know if I change my mind about it. *xoxo*
Chanel’s fall make-up collection is scheduled to drop this July. The color palette– ALL GOLD. A far departure from past season’s palettes, the fall collection is designed by the house’s new creative director of make-up, Peter Phillips. The collection was inspired by an apartment on the Rue Cambon where Coco Chanel lived and worked. The apartment is said to be cozy with shades of warm browns, golds, and bronzes, which are all represented in the palette one way or another. The collection will include a nail enamel, a loose powder, a Glossimer Lipgloss, a lipstick, and an eye shadow quad.Gold is not the next “it” shade I expected to come from Chanel. Could it be as big as Black Satin or Blue Satin?? Why not? Who’s to say that the next “it” color has to be far out shade? It could be a simple shade of gold.
What do you think??

Clinique’s new Long Last Glosswear promises something that no other gloss on the market is promising—8 hours wear and shine! This one-step lipgloss is supposed to be super moisturizing and contains an SPF level of 15.Now, I did get a chance to try this product last week while out shopping, and I have to say that my first impression was that it’s super comfortable for a long-wear formula. It provides a nice creamy cushion on the lips and lots of shine. However, it didn’t wear much longer than about 4 hours, which compared to the average lipgloss (usually wears only about 2 hours) is pretty long, but it failed to keep the promise of 8 hours wear:(

Benefit has got a new face product out called Erase Paste. Positioned as a brightening and camouflaging concealer, it’s housed in a pot and comes with a step by step guide on how to apply it for optimal results. My initial reaction upon playing with this product is that it’s really heavy and has somewhat of a tacky feel to it. Now, I have super oily skin, so I was not impressed with the texture at all. But the more I continued to rub it on the skin, I noticed that it broke down nicely and it does provide a great coverage level. Unfortunately, it’s not available in my shade, but I will have a pot of this in my make-up kit!
Hola chicas! So, a girlfriend of mine calls me today complaining about her new found dark under-eye circles and fine lines, and wanted my suggestion for the best illuminator to mask her problem. Instantly my first suggestion was Smashbox’s Aritficial Light Luminizing Lotion. Now, I realize that this product has been out there a really long time and there are many others out there that could do the job as well. But what I love about the Smashbox in particular is it’s consistency. Housed in a pump, this oil-free illuminator is fluid enough to blend seamlessly with your foundation or concealer, yet still provides just the right amount of coverage and pearl effect to get the job done. I love to use it on ALL skin-tones, because the color is so forgiving. The other plus is that it contains Japanese green tea, so it’s also a great anti-oxidant. My girlfriend has yet to try the product, but I’m sure she will not be disappointed! *smooches*

Hey Girls!Happy Friday!!! Phew, I’m soooo excited it’s the weekend! So, I know this isn’t the newest product out there, but I have to say I love it so much that even after a year on the market it’s still one of my fave lipsticks. MAC’s Slimshine Lipstick is essentially a lipgloss in a stick form. It provides the the sheer coverage, creamy cushion, and shine of a lipgloss but without the stickiness. Not only that, but because it’s in a stick form it’s less messy than a traditional gloss in a tube. Don’t get me wrong, I love my tube glosses, too. But this has been the best alternate for when I want to switch it up. It has such a creamy, bouncy texture that I find myself continuously applying it. It kinda reminds me of when I was a kid and would continuously apply my Wet n’ Wild or Smackers lip balm, because of the scent/flavor and that similar feeling on the lips.Any-hoo, highly recommend it….especially for the season since it’s also available in bright, sheer shades. *xoxo*

Hola! Make-up Forever just launched their High Definition Microfinish Powder, exclusively at Sephora. Like many other loose powders, High Def Microfinish is positioned as a loose powder that can either be used to set foundation or to be worn alone for a mattifying effect. The product is talc-free, so it provides a transparent finish on the skin. Making it a great product for a broad range of skin-tones. This product was also designed with Makeup Artists in mind….of course! It provides a soft focus effect for HD cameras and helps to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Can’t wait to try this product! They got me at talc-free and transparent color!! *kisses*
